Spelling Bee Competitions 2018
The English Department Spelling Bee Competition, held on 25th October, was well-attended by students from all classes. Senior and Junior form students crowded into the SAR where English Teachers, English Club members and other Student Helpers worked busily together. While some English Club members quizzed the competitors, others rewarded successful students with chops for their English Achievement Scheme Card and candies.
Competitors in the Spelling Bee were asked to spell out loud one easy word and one more difficult word. Both words had to be spelled correctly for a successful attempt. Many students came back several times to test their spelling skills and went away satisfied, with a fistful of candies and plenty of chops for their English Achievement Scheme Card!
